An RSS feed (or news feed) is a means by which you can stay informed about what's going on at Haslemere Musical Society without having to regularly visit the website.
To make use of an RSS feed, you need some "feed reader" (or "aggregator") software. Most modern web browsers have feed readers built in.
The RSS feeds for Haslemere Musical Society are listed below...
Being a Friend of the Society gives you the opportunity to join our efforts to promote high quality local music making, for just £30 a year. Your gift will help the Society to plan ahead for the coming year, knowing that there is a reliable income to contribute to such expenses as gifts for our concert soloists and colourful posters to advertise our events.
As a Friend, you will receive regular communications from our Friends and Patrons Secretary, and your name will appear in all four concert programmes (unless you choose to remain anonymous).
Become a Patron
We are especially grateful for annual donations from our Patrons, who support the Society with a minimum subscription of £60 a year. These donations make a great difference when it comes to planning to perform works that need larger groups of musicians, or particular instruments. For example, a steady income from Patrons ensures that the orchestra secretary can book a large percussion section, a full brass section or a harpist to make a magnificent sound alongside the Society members. Or your donation could be used to help cover the cost of student (half price) memberships, so that the Society can continue to develop young players and keep local music alive.
Patrons are listed in each concert programme (unless you prefer to remain anonymous) and enjoy special privileges, such as regular newsletters and an invitation to our social functions. As a Patron you will receive additional information in advance of each concert and you are invited to the post-concert parties, along with the performers (there is a small fee). Patrons have a standing invitation to attend rehearsals if they let the Friends and Patrons Secretary know in advance.
Our Friends and Patrons Secretary, Kathryn Pearsall, would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to support the Society in one of these ways. She can be contacted on
Sponsor us
We welcome one-off or continuing donations from individuals, trusts or businesses. A one-off donation could cover the costs of engaging a world class soloist, hiring music that is not available in local libraries, or printing concert programmes. Your donation will be acknowledged in our concert programme, and on this website. To sponsor the Society, either as a one-off donation or as an ongoing arrangement, please contact Marion Bagshaw:
